Best Convertible for the Summer

Well, summer is around the corner. And you know what that means…ice cream and convertibles. The sun is out, so why not bask in it? Personally, I would use the Jaguar F-Type R Convertible to enjoy the rays. But, since I don’t have the money, this is all a mere fantasy.

Now, the F-Type Convertible has been around for three years and it remains on the top of my list for two reasons: the stunning design and the passion that it carries.

Jaguar hit a home run with this E-Type inspired convertible. It is a compact, agile cheetah that is ready to pounce on anything. The front haunches on the hood extend all the way down to the grille and angle in a little to add to the Jaguar’s cat-like appearance. Even the headlights are streamlined and almost look like eyes. This F-Type wants to be unleashed. Better yet, option in some of Jaguar’s 20-inch black five-arm rims and choose Ultimate Black to make the F-Type look like a truly menacing black Jaguar cat.

Inside, Jaguar went all out. With the optional racing inspired seats, the convertible screams for the driver to smash it through some corners. Or, if you want to embrace the Grand Tourer culture of the F-Type, semi-performance seats are standard and provide all the modern conveniences. The tech inside can be a little slow at some times, but who cares! The real reason why many others and myself love the F-Type R is what comes out of it.

The F-Type R is the second-most powerful F-Type in the range. It has 550 HP V8 that makes a threatening 502 pound-feet of torque. The magic happens when the driver turns the Active Sports Exhaust to its highest setting. Suddenly, an orchestra of big cats growling for their lives swarms into the ears of everyone that is in a five-mile radius. Or perhaps it bellows this passion with the help of some spunky English Bulldogs. When coupled with a little acceleration, the F-Type R has been proven to rip the ears off of onlookers! (I’m only kidding!!!) With the soft-top down, the exhaust noises are injected into your ears.

Jaguar provides the best convertible for the summer that has a thrilling design and a grunt that makes a lion squeamish. The F-Type R starts at $108,250 and climbs up to $120,000 if you want some nice rims, a good paint color, or even some upgraded tech. So, this car is still way in my dreams!
