A New Bugatti??
Bugatti, the maker of the god-like Veyron, is coming back to make history. Recently, there has been some buzz of a new hypercar called the Chiron. This beast will be taking names when it is released at the Geneva Auto Show.
Now, Bugatti is going in a totally different direction with the Chiron. Some rumors are that they are implementing a carbon fiber blend to save weight and there could be a battery pack added to the mix. Back in 2005 when Bugatti released the Veyron, they just dumped a big W-16 (two V8s squished together) in it so that it could cruise from Monaco to London effortlessly in under ten hours. Today, the Chiron employs modern advances so that it can compete with mega cars like the Koenigsegg Regera.
Going by the renderings and the Bugatti Gran Turismo concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show, expect this car to embody a distinctive-aerodynamic driven design. The Gran Turismo looked like it was straight out of a video game. Air glides across this minimalistic, yet obscenely futuristic car. If the Chiron takes some of these cues, Saudi Arabian princes won’t need to spend another million on Mansory body kits!
Inside, Bugatti is sticking to their luxe-French roots. The best hides and wood trim pieces will line the interior. It will be easy to cover miles at “speed” and Monaco billionaires will love the new refreshed cabin with all of its present day convenience tech.
But wait, what about performance? The Chiron sports a monstrous turbocharged W-16 engine that generates a psychotic 1,500 horsepower. This is 300 more horses than the fastest Veyron-the Super Sport with its 1,200 horsepower. Some enthusiasts are giddy and say it will hit a ridiculous 288 MPH! Bugatti always loves to defy science!
When this baby releases, expect a heavy price tag of around $2.5 million! But, they’re probably all sold out already in Bugatti fashion. So, if you could buy a Chiron, would you despite the running costs that could amount to the price of the car after just two years of ownership? Let me know what you think and I’ll see you guys next week!
