Frankfurt Auto Show Highlights

The 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show is a true success this year. Everything that was going to be released at the show is now out, so it's a good time to go over the highlights. Once again the VW Group dominated the show, but let's get to the top five cars that were at this year's show.

5. Kicking things off is the Audi E-Tron Quattro concept that was released by Audi's design arm-Quattro GmbH. It features all of the future technology features that Audi cars will soon sport like hybrid engines and even the highly anticipated virtual cockpit. This car was called the Q6 concept because it fits right between the current Q5 and Q7. The Q6 has stunning looks and shows off what Audi can do in their spare time.

4. Many journalists felt that the Lamborghini Huracan was designed to be a Spyder when they saw the real Lamborghini Huracan Spyder being released at the show. The pillars in the car blend in perfectly to make the roadster seem clean and refined. The Lamborghini Huracan Spyder has identical performance figures and will be popular in the Middle Eastern markets. Expect to see the Spyders hitting the roads in full force by the beginning of next year.

3. Coming in next is the Ferrari 488 Spyder. It is as if the Italians both figured that they should release their Spyders in the same shade of blue on the same day! The 488 Spyder features Ferrari's new turbocharged V8 and is basically a face-lifted 458 Spyder. The regular 488 GTB has been spotted roaming the streets in Monte Carlo. That means this car will hit the roads in the coming months.

2. A car that stunned the automotive community was the Porsche Mission E concept car. Porsche designed this concept to directly compete with the Tesla Model S P85d. It is based off of the Panamera, yet it features more futuristic styling. This car will resemble the electric car that Porsche is claimed to release in the next couple of years.

1. The best car that was in the show by far was the Bugatti Gran Turismo. This car is worth mentioning because it was made just for the fans of the Bugatti Veyron. The Gran Turismo is not for sale and is a recreation of the car in the Gran Turismo video games. Even though it is just a Veyron with a body kit on it, the intentions that Bugatti had in mind when creating this car make it very memorable.

Well that's it! Make sure to comment and like the blog on Facebook. This concludes my report on the Frankfurt Auto Show and I'll see you later!
