The Audi S7 Sport Edition
It was the best day of my life. This day is so paramount in my life that it ranks higher than my own birth and entrance into this world. The day that I am talking about is the day that we finally began the purchase of the 2015 Audi S7 Sport Edition.
You see, this was the day that I got to finally make my dream of having a piece of hardcore German engineering all to myself (well, technically it did belong to my dad) a reality. It was the missing part of who I was as a person that loves cars. The 2004 Acura TL that my dad owned previously never seemed to fill that void of experiencing what the Germans truly have to offer. That Japanese car didn’t really have the thrill that I was looking for.
Anyway, after years of anticipation and nudging my father, it was finally happening. We strolled into the dealer and I tried to keep my cool. I pointed to a white 2015 S7 Sport Edition and told my dad, “Take a look at that one.” We sat in it and looked around it. Then it was rumble time; my dad asked to speak with someone from sales.
We sat down with Rosemarie who asked my dad some questions about where we lived and some of his personal information. Once we got that all out of the way, it was time for me to shine. I told Rosemarie that we were interested in the 2016 S7 and I recited all of the packages, paint color, and the exact finish of the rims that we wanted. She was stunned and so was I. I didn’t even have one voice crack!
Moving right along, they went to run some numbers and basically told us that it was cheaper to get the 2015 Audi S7 Sport Edition that we were looking at previously. Even after the test drive, my dad didn’t want that white car. Personally, Ibis White makes the S7 look like a whale. However, they located a Phantom Black Pearl S7 Sport Edition and we sealed the deal.
We couldn’t wait for the delivery. I remember counting down every single hour from the three-day mark! The delivery of the car would turn my dream into a reality. But then, that day came and it was magical. My dad had to handle some formalities and then we finally got the Gloss-Black keys. After going through all of the systems, I just wanted to go. All I wanted to do was to get out of the showroom and hear the rumbling S7 on the wide-open streets.
For the next month, every time that I got into the car, I was grinning. I was also chuckling when we would accelerate rapidly by using every one of the 415 horses at our disposal. In those moments, I found that this German sport back really had a soul. It was almost like a banker that was a street fighter on the weekends. It was refined for the most part; but when you smashed your foot onto the pedal, the street fighter’s snarls were unleashed!
The S7 has a special place in my heart. There are only a few cars in the world where you could be going pretty quickly and the outside world appears as if you are cruising along in a motorized wheel chair. S7, you are one crazy car! Make sure to comment and follow me on Facebook. Until next time!
